Are you looking for new ways to get involved at school? Would you consider becoming a room representative or a new family ambassador?
Room Representatives, formerly “room parents”, are responsible for helping teachers share information about the classroom and they help keep other families informed about important classroom events such as performances or field trips. It’s a great way to help the school without having to come to school because everything can be done from your computer.
New Family Ambassadors are current Stone families who volunteer to connect with incoming Stone families over the summer and at the start of the school year. Each new family ambassador is responsible for helping welcome 2 or 3 new families to our community by answering their questions (or at least letting them know who to contact with questions!). Especially as we return back to school in person, the ambassadors will be really important to helping our new friends learn all about this great school and community.
Maybe safety is your jam and you’d like to help with Parent Patrol. There hasn’t been guidance provided yet about parents volunteering in-person at school but if it’s allowed, we need parents to help make sure students get into the building safely. Parent Patrol volunteers help make sure students are able to safely exit vehicles during morning drop off, while they keep traffic moving in front of the school.
