About Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Jayna Butler, and I am so excited to begin the 2025–2026 school year with all of you. This year marks my 9th year in education, my 7th year working in Chicago Public Schools, and my very first year as part of the Stone Scholastic Academy community.

Over the years, I’ve worked at Sadlowski Elementary School, Moos Elementary, and McAuliffe Elementary School in a variety of settings across Pre - K through 8th grade. I love empowering youth to be confident, independent thinkers by finding creative ways to make learning accessible to all students.

When I am not in the classroom I'm usually out enjoying nature by walking my dog or biking the lakefront. I love creating art, listening to podcasts, gospel, neo-soul & jazz music, or watching new documentaries. I enjoy spending time with family and love watching my nieces and nephews grow up!

I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you and can't wait to see how you grow within the year.
